In this season of chilly nights and shorter days, we hope you’re cozy in a warm sweater, a cup of tea in one hand, a pen in the other, sketching or writing or doodling your dreams and ideas for your next piece. With the holidays upon us, the Los Angeles team is taking a moment to breathe; to feel gratitude for the volunteers who keep our wonderful organization going; to reflect on what we’ve accomplished so far and what we plan to get done in the new year.
We invite you to meditate for a moment on your own special journeys and the reasons you do what you do, even when faced with challenges and disappointments. We suspect your answers will be the same as ours: “Because there are children out there who need to hear this story, to see this art, to know that they are important to us.”
