Sherry Shahan’s cut-paper collage “The Librarian” appears on the cover of literary journal Rattle, Spring 2022.


Sue Ganz-Schmitt and illustrator Luke Flowers won the following awards for their picture book That Monster On The Block: The Firebird Book Award (2022) First Place for Children’s Illustration, First Place for Children’s Humor, Second Place for Children’s Picture Books Ages 4-9, and Third Place for Juvenile Fiction. They also won the 2021 Royal Dragonfly Book Award for Humor (2nd Place).


Sue Ganz-Schmitt and Illustrator Renia Metallinou won the following awards for their picture book Now I’m a Bird: Firebird Book Award (2021) First Place for Juvenile Fiction and First Place for Picture Book for All Ages. They also won a 2021 Mom’s Choice Award.

In 2021, Sue won Hindi’s Females of Fiction Award, and was First Place runner up for the Sue Alexander Grant.
