Have a topic you’d like to share with your fellow kidlit community? Want to share your process and inspire other writers or illustrators? Or maybe you have a list of incredible authors you’d like to interview but no idea where you can publish it? Let Kite Tales be your outlet for creative community and discussion!

We are always seeking new content from the SCBWI community of the Los Angeles Tri-Regions and would love to help you promote your writing and your work through our blog. We accept everything from single articles to a series on any subject as long as it relates to the craft of writing or illustrating for children. We accept and publish articles year round.

But if you don’t have a topic in mind and would love to write for us, please email us. We will get in touch with you to help brainstorm some ideas!

And don’t forget to let us know if you have any publishing news you’d like to share. If you have a book coming out, Toot Your Horn. Or if you have recently received a great review, gotten an agent, or have some other noteworthy professional announcement (like an awesome new website), fill out the form to tell us the Great News.

We would love to share your voice and your stories with the Kite Talescommunity! Along with our writer members, we encourage our illustrator and translator members to reach out to us, especially those who identify with any underrepresented community.

For more fantastic content, community, events, and other professional development opportunities, become a member today! Not sure if there is a chapter in your area? Check here.
